THE IMPORTANT STUFF
Please read through the commonly asked questions and if you can't find the answer you are looking for please feel free to contact us.
Where does my son/daughter stay while at camp?
Ohio Dreams campers stay in beautiful, spacious lodges that feature counselor bunks at each end and in the middle of the dorms. We take pride in the cleanliness of our dorms. Campers are expected to keep their bunks and individual storage spaces organized and clean and help in cleaning the dorms at the end of each week. At the end of each dorm, is a large bathroom area featuring private showers and changing stalls that will make even the most modest of campers feel comfortable.
For the safety of our campers, cell phones are not allowed in the dorm areas of camp and must be kept in the camp office. We strongly discourage the use of electronics and personal valuables at camp. In the atmosphere of camp, where there are so many people, campers tend to forget, lose track of, and misplace many items.

Can my camper dorm/bunk with friends/siblings?
For the benefit of our campers enjoyment, male dorm assignments are arranged by age. If your camper is attending with a friend and they are the same age they will be bunking together. If a friend or sibling falls outside the age range of the dorm they will be separated into their appropriate dorm. Campers are able to spend all day together and are in the dorms only in times of sleep. The ages for the dorms are 7-10, 11-13, 14-17.
What is included in the price?
The cost of camp includes 3 meals a day, lodging, and all activities except miscellaneous items such as snacks, and drinks from the lounge. We suggest $50.00 - $100.00 for miscellaneous items to be deposited into camper’s individual bank upon registering on the first day of camp.
How do discounts work; are there discounts for family, groups, or returning campers?
For the ease of everybody, our discount structure is based on the date of registration. The earlier you register for camp, the more money you can save (up to $150 per camper if you register early enough to take advantage of one of our sales). Check out the registration link at the top of the website for pricing and discounts for early registration.
What is a camp bank?
A camp bank works exactly like a regular bank. When registering online, parents have the option to create an account and deposit money that campers can spend at the lounge or pro shop. By creating an account, campers have no need to have money on them, and any remaining funds are returned to the parents after the session is over.
May I use my credit card to put money in camper camp banks?
Yes, you may use your credit card to put money in camper camp banks.
We are planning on flying our son/daughter to camp; what airport do we fly into?
Ohio Dreams has shuttle service to the Columbus International Airport (CMH). The cost of this shuttle is $50 round trip. The protocols for unaccompanied minors is different for each airline, when booking flights, please set up provisions for this as we will be able to meet your child at the gate and assist them with getting through the airport and picking up their luggage. Please make sure their flight arrives at CMH between 10am-2pm on Sunday and Departs between 9am-12pm on Saturday.

What items should my son or daughter bring to camp with them?
There will be a detailed list of items campers need to bring with them and what items are not allowed in the registration confirmation packet. Please look over the list in detail and feel free to call the camp office if you have any questions.
Why is my son or daughter not allowed to have a cell phone?
Our camp is a residential sports training camp with traditional camp values and acitvies included in our programing, for the safety of our minors we do not allow cell phones or any electronics except for Gopro style cameras which must be checked into the office. There is a camp phone in which campers are able to call home if needed.
Can my son or daughter participate in more than one activity?
Absolutely, the whole reason we created Ohio Dreams was to create a camp where you can bring both your summer sport and your winter sport together at one spot. Each day, the campers are given open periods where they can participate in the sport of their choice, and if they so choose, they can attend a morning lesson in any sport they want. All we ask is that if you are going to participate in more than one sport, that you bring the equipment for the other activity as well.
What if my son or daughter wants to try other sports but they do not have the equipment?
While we suggest bringing equipment, we will have a limited amount of demo equipment available for use by campers.
What if my son or daughter takes prescription medication?
All medication will be given to the camp nurse to be dispensed. All medications must come in their original bottles to be dispensed.
